Most decluttering sessions are booked for 3 hours. This timeframe is short enough to support confident decision-making (and prevent fatigue), but long enough to make meaningful progress you can see and feel.

Some clients choose longer sessions if their schedule and energy allow. For larger projects—like garages, full-home downsizing, packing for a move, or estate clear-outs—we often recommend 5–6 hour sessions to maximize efficiency.

Every project is flexible, and during your consultation we’ll help you decide what session length is the best fit for your goals, pace, and timeline.

Our Professional Organizers will guide you step by step so the decluttering process feels simple and achievable.

Here’s what you can expect in a decluttering session:

1. Set a goal for the day – We’ll start by choosing a clear focus area so you know exactly what progress you’ll make.

2. Categorization & support – Your Organizer will guide you through sorting items into categories and making confident decisions without judgement.

3. System setup – We’ll create simple, functional systems that fit your lifestyle and make staying organized easier.

4. Homework & next steps – If you’d like, we’ll suggest light homework and a plan for maintaining momentum between sessions.

Rehoming of items – At the end, you can choose to have your Organizer drop off a carload of donations, recycling, or Eco Station items for you.

NOTE: With our sustainable approach there is no need to buy organizing products ahead of time—we always start with what you already own, and can recommend or source solutions if needed.
